Videos

This timelapsed video highlights the creation of the wall art installation designed by the Annandale Library staff. The art piece was inspired by Mademoiselle Maurice. More information about the project can be found on the Annandale Campus Library blog.

This short video was created for the pilot of a library scavenger hunt called “Journey to the Center of the Library.” The scavenger hunt incorporated QR codes as a way to promote discovery of library resources. I worked on this project as part of the scavenger hunt committee.

Presentations

“Wrangling Wikipedia” was co-presented with Samara Carter at the 2013 Power Up Your Pedagogy conference hosted at NOVA Annandale. We discussed how to incorporate Wikipedia into the classroom.

Samara and I did another presentation (“To Wikipedia…and Beyond!”) at the Virginia Library Association Annual Conference in September 2013. This time, we focused on how librarians can become active contributors to Wikipedia, Wikicommons, and other Wikimedia sites.
